Restorative Dentistry focuses on restoring the health and function to the gums and teeth for a stable and durable oral foundation. Missing teeth, broken, chipped and worn teeth all present both cosmetic and restorative dental concerns. Treating these conditions is essential in maintaining oral health and can help improve the quality of your life. Restorative dentistry can give you back your confidence and restore your oral health.

What is restorative dentistry
Traditional dentistry focuses on oral hygiene and preventing, diagnosing and treating oral disease. Restorative dentistry instead involves the diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting the teeth, gums and maxillofacial (jaw and face) portions of the body. For example, dental fillings are a common procedure used to treat decayed teeth. Previously, most dental fillings were composed primarily of gold, amalgam and other materials that left visible dark spots on the teeth. Today’s dental fillings may be considered cosmetic to a certain extent because you can select fillings made of porcelain or composite materials that closely match the color of your teeth, thus maintaining the natural appearance of your teeth and smile.
